Welcome
I wrote this book, in part, because of my own once-rigid views on marriage and divorce. Views that were shaped more by the letter of the law than by the spirit of grace. For years, I believed that honoring God meant holding fast to rules, but in time I came to understand that His greatest commandment is love, and his most powerful gift is grace. People are imperfect; we stumble, we fail, and yet, through Christ, we can be restored. Never did I imagine that after thirty-four years of marriage, I would one day find myself in the category of the divorced. My parents modeled a steadfast commitment to marriage until death. I was certain my story would mirror theirs.
Quotes:
Balance restores emotional and spiritual health by integrating truth and grace.
As awareness grows, insight naturally follows. Insight is the clarity that comes when God’s Word becomes the lens through which we view our circumstances.
We must refuse to live under the shadow of fear in a culture that traffics in it.
When we break free from fear, walk in integrity, and reject victimhood, the transformation that occurs is not contained to our own lives.
This book was birthed out of decades of lived experience, seasons marked by growth, leadership, counsel, and personal transformation. Through hardship and through triumph, I have come to know that balance, boundaries, and breakthroughs are not optional luxuries but essential disciplines for anyone seeking to live a life that honors God and serves others with integrity.
